Don't you know more people die from car accidents? Don't worry about it.

Do i avoid my 3 yearold daughter for just a cough?

Do i stop going to work?

Do i wait for more symptoms?

Do i avoid parents? What if they watch her during the day?

If your immune system is pretty healthy (you’re young, don’t smoke, good shape) don’t sweat it unless it feels like the worse thing you Ever had.

I think one of the big problems is minimal symptoms like cough only is crowding healthcare for the truly sick.

Should i take precautions?
at a minimum you should be self isolating for 14 days. if you have a developing fever, shortness of breath and a dry cough you should seek a test, call a hospital or clinic first, don't just show up. if you test positive you need to inform all people that you have had recent contact with and continue to self isolate for 14 days until the symptoms disappear. if symptoms worsen you need to contact your hospital about admissions

this lays it out pretty good: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/18/nyregion/coronavirus-testing-positive.html

With the shortage of coronavirus testing nationwide, it may be difficult to know whether your loved one has coronavirus or another illness. So it’s critical to play it safe and not infect yourself and, in turn, others. The CDC suggests:

  • Giving the sick person their own room to stay in, if possible. Keep the door closed.
  • Having only one person serve as the caretaker.
  • Asking the sick person to wear a face mask, if they are able to. If the mask causes breathing difficulties, then the caretaker should wear a mask instead.
